Meet Aaron Carman
"I have spent the majority of my life in South Cobb and believe it is a hidden gem in the Atlanta area. I want to see Mableton develop into a city that serves all its residents and benefits the surrounding areas.”
Aaron’s family moved to Smyrna in 1983, where he attended King Springs Elementary, Griffin Middle School and Campbell High School. He was active in sports as a kid and through High School where he was a 2 Time All Cobb County Football Player. Using his ability in football, Aaron went on to play college football at Wingate University in North Carolina and graduated in 1999. After graduating, Aaron returned back to Smyrna and began working with a large IT corporation in sales.
Aaron bought his first home in unincorporated Smyrna, and moved to unincorporated Mableton in 2016. Both of these homes are now included in the City of Mableton. Aaron is married to Ashley Carman, who runs her own real estate brokerage and non-profit serving the metro Atlanta area. Aaron has two sons; his oldest son attends Whitefield HS in Mableton and his youngest son goes to Nickajack Elementary.
Aaron is passionate about serving the communities he is in, and has participated in numerous community outreach opportunities over the years. Some of the organizations he partners with are Keep Cobb Beautiful, Cobb K-12 Mentor Program, Habitat for Humanity and SimpleNeeds Georgia. Aaron also takes on various volunteer roles like coaching for recreational league baseball and leading Christ centered recovery programs for adults. He believes the biggest impact we can have on our community comes from how we serve our neighbors, communities and cities by using the resources we are blessed with.
Aaron’s professional career includes 23+ years in sales, marketing, operations and leadership. Aaron has gained a multitude of experience in working with and leading diverse teams of people. He has the ability to bring individuals together to achieve a common objective or goal. The IT Industry is a forever changing market and over time there have been many circumstances where he took on new and exciting challenges. Aaron believes that in these moments we truly grow and find out more about ourselves and those we work with.
A proven track record of success in corporate IT sales and marketing is the backbone to Aaron’s determination and grit to overcome difficult challenges and find a path to success.
